Well-educated Gail Weingast, MD

Dr. Gail Weingast challenged herself to an intense education as she started her doctoral path at a young age. Earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969 from Tufts University, she majored in Spanish before moving into her medical studies. At Boston University, Weingast entered the School of Medicine, graduation with her Degree in Medicine in 1976 then immediately jumped into the field with both feet by starting an internship in pediatrics at Colorado General Hospital in Denver. Weingast remained with this interest during her first residency, studying pediatrics for the next two years at the same hospital, but switched her research pursuits to a radiology residency from 1980 to 1983. By 1983, still at Colorado General, she studied ultrasound, discovering her passion for her career.
