The Education of Dr. Gail Weingast Helps Patients
January 19, 2023After receiving her medical degreefrom the Boston University School of Medicine in 1976, the newly minted Dr. Gail Weingast was aware that she had a lot more learning to do, and she put everything into that. Between then and 1983, she made sure she completed a pediatrics internship from 1976-1977 and a residency in pediatrics over the next two years, after which she also completed a residency in the field of radiology from 1980 to 1983 and a fellowship in the field of ultrasound in 1983, all at Colorado General Hospital in Denver.
Dr. Gail Weingast finally completed her post-graduate studies as a radiologist from 1983 to 1984 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, also in Denver.Soon after, Dr. Gail Weingast worked at several other hospitals, primarily in the state of Colorado, although she also worked in New York for a bit. Eventually, she settled into her current position, as a radiology professional at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut, where she has now been for nearly a quarter century. In that time, she has guided her department be among the premiere medical facilities in New England.
