Radiology Professional Dr. Gail Weingast Earned Her Position
November 24, 2022It was not clear from the very beginning that Dr. Gail Weingast would even become a doctor. In fact, in 1969, Gail Weingast attended Jackson College at Tufts University, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. If she wasn’t into medicine then, however, before long, she was really into it, because she earned her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine and officially became Gail Weingast MD in 1976.
Following medical school, Dr. Weingast did a pediatrics internship, a two-year pedia-trics residency, a three-year radiology residency, and an ultrasound fellowship, all at Colorado General Hospital in Denver, although she completed her post-graduate studies as a radiologist at St. Anthony’s Hospital, also in Denver. Soon after, Dr. Gail Weingast worked at several other hospitals in Colorado and New York, before she settled into her current position at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. She has now been there for more than 20 years.
